The SLGAAP team worked with a number of local government Road Managers, with the qualifying assets validated through a matrix-based process. Using an online survey tool, these Road Managers were asked to submit details for up to ten (10) assets for assessment. The SLGAAP team then reviewed the list of assets and prioritise those for eligibility and assessment under the pilot.
Engagement included industry associations and local industry in areas of the selected Road Managers.
Results of asset assessments will be made available to users of the NHVR Portal and the work will inform the development of a Road Manager Toolkit.
Local governments were asked to nominate assets for engineering assessments, the pilot phase included 100 assets from 12 local government areas.
