Thank you for your interest in the future rounds of the Strategic Local Government Asset Assessment Project.
In the 2021 Federal Budget, the project received $12.1 additional funding over three years announced so we can continue delivering asset assessment for local government road managers.
It is anticipated that the NHVR will conduct new rounds of assessments over the next three years, broken into Round 2, Round 3 and Round 4.
What assets will be included in future rounds of SLGAAP?
SLGAAP Round 1 had more than 1000 assets nominated nationally by local government road managers and of these, 300 asset assessments were selected for engineering assessments.
The asset selection process for SLGAAP Round 2 will take into consideration the balance of Round 1 assets.
The team will also contact road managers who have expressed interest in being involved in future project rounds. Please complete the EOI form (on the right of this page) to register your interest (please note, no asset information is required that this stage). If your council has been involved in past rounds of the project, you will not need to register again.
In early 2022, the asset selection process will be undertaken against specific project criteria.
SLGAAP Round 2 will focus on clusters of assets that provide a regional network outcome and are assets of significance (heavy vehicle traffic volume or connectivity).
